Manuscripts and correspondence of Ada EKey Jones and her father, Robert EKey. Manuscripts written by Ada include "The Growth of an Arizona Community," "Nogales Drum and Bugle Corps Drill Team," and "Troublesome Days in Old Mexico" concerning a 1913 battle in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. There is information about western author and editor, Frank M. King. There are also a prospectus and a stock certificate for the Calabasas Irrigation Land and Water Company, a handwritten, 4-page, guide to California from Salt Lake City, 1858 giving directions, mileage, and conditions, and a small broadside "Call for a People's Party Convention" in Tucson 1894.

Frank M. King, cowboy, ranchman, editor, and author, was born in Los Angeles in 1863. King, who was one-quarter Cherokee Indian, went to Texas with his family in 1873, then to Indian Territory. He returned to Texas in 1876, engaging in cattle driving there, and moved to New Mexico in 1879. King's formal education was extremely limited.
